What is Ablative?
Ablative Leadership Partners was founded on the belief that organizational health is inseparable from leadership functioning. Effective leadership is not simply a matter of skill or strategy- it is shaped by psychological patterns, institutional incentives, and the realities of power.
Psychology + Administration
MMy work is grounded in more than a decade of psychotherapy practice, where I have spent years sitting with people in moments of high stress, responsibility, and consequence. That experience shapes how I understand behavior under pressure, how patterns form, how blind spots develop, and how difficult it can be to see one’s own impact when the stakes are high. Clinical work has also trained me to attend to what is left unsaid, how power changes communication, and how even well intentioned leaders can become disconnected from those around them without realizing it.
Alongside this clinical foundation, my doctoral training focused on governance and institutional administration, including how organizations are structured, how authority is exercised, and how systems reinforce certain behaviors over time. This perspective allows me to place individual leadership patterns within the broader organizational context that sustains them. Rather than treating leadership challenges as personal shortcomings or strategic failures, I work at the intersection of psychology and systems, helping leaders understand how their own tendencies interact with institutional structures to shape outcomes. This integrated view is what allows meaningful change to take hold, not only for the leader, but for the organization as a whole.
